I dunno. Madden is a movement.
It’s been there. Everybody plays it. Why switch?
But if the gameplay is there, I might check it out.

@Madden4life
Uhhh that is the problem. Madden sucks every year. Innovation is gone with the title because of the fact that they have their exclusive rights deal with the NFL. Gameplay for the 2k series has always been there, why do you think EA had to go out to get the exclusive license? 2k was on the verge of breaking Madden with better gameplay, more innovation (did you ever try the 1st person mode… fun as can be) and a $19.99 price tag. The thing they did not have is the player models as well as the fact that the game was made with more of an “Arcade” feel than a simulation feel.
The thing with this game is that there are no real NFL teams or possibly stadiums (this is a different issue than players/teams simply because EAs exclusivity is with the NFLPA and technically the stadiums are not part of the NFLPA although without the teams or players they will not use those stadiums. The game also doesn’t look that great. Madden threw a lot of money on last year’s game on the new systems and it shows. They fixed quite a few issues that were prevelant in the first release for the new consoles (which was nothing more than a rush to shelves so they can say that they HAVE a football game on the new systems. Being out of the game for over 2 years now the 2k series SHOULD have a better looking game than they do however it will not stack up as shown in the one video that has been released for the game.
I am hoping that 2k sports makes a player editor/team editor built into the game so that the home community can make teams and pass them around thus going around the “no real players/teams” issue. This way the community will support the game. This is what happened in 2k6 (or whichever one was last) as the community still updates teams and players and continues to keep the game alive. Note: Actually the same thing is happening with Tecmo Super Bowl. They update the teams/players every year for those who play the game on emulators and have actually added network support (online Tecmo Super Bowl!).
Madden really isn’t that great of a game and the NFL/NFLPA should not have ALLOWED the exclusivity agreement so that we, the consumers, can have the two companies fight each year to release the best game; which is not the case right now.

I’m feelin the allpro, I dont think its gonna knock madden off though you can’t really beat the actual NFL that EA provides, I do think that Madden would be in trouble if they didnt have control over the NFL license.

Plus NFL 2K5 was the best football game to date, that shit scared EA
